Easter Weekend

We spent Easter weekend in Escondido with my family this year. Tanner was baptized on Sunday, so we went down for the whole weekend to play with the family. On Saturday we went to the Wild Animal Park, Connor's first time, and had a fun HOT time. It was very hot and sunny, and for those of you who know the WAP know that for some reason it always seems to be several degrees hotter inside the park than outside. But we had a great time and Connor was really good even though I'm sure he had no idea what was going on or any interest in what he was seeing, besides his typical joy in just being outside.
After the Wild Animal Park we had our Easter Egg Hunt which, in spite of there only really being 2 1/2 kids present, was still rather exciting. Connor even picked up about half the eggs that filled his basket at the end of the hunt! He'd pick it up, try and cram it in his mouth, Adam would take it away and put it in his basket, and he'd reach for the next and repeat the process. Adam and I have been enjoying the spoils of his labors. After all that we had a barbeque and played some games in the evening.
Sunday we went to church and the music that the choir had put together was so nice. At the end the congregation sang "I Know That My Redeemer Lives", with the piano and organ playing harmonies, and the choir singing additional parts, and it was so beautiful and powerful, exactly what we needed on Easter Sunday!
Tanner's baptism was in the evening Sunday. He's my last sibling to be baptized, and because all the rest of us are much older we were all able to participate in some way. He had so many friends and family members present to celebrate with him and we are all so proud of his decision. As he stood in front of the mirror in his baptismal clothing, he looked at his reflection and asked "Are you ready for this?" His reflection looked back at him and answered "Yes!"
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from the baptism or any from Easter Sunday of Adam and Connor in their matching bow ties that I made (SO CUTE!!) but here are some others from the weekend:

Nap time came on the tram and he conked right out in my lap, but maintained his grip on his football. Daddy was so proud.

It was also a big weekend in that Connor sat up all by himself for the first time.

Hanging with cousin Ty.

Cute pics! Glad you got to spend Easter with your fam... I still can't believe that Tanner is old enough to be baptized! Woah.

2 1/2 babies?? Is this an announcement of some sort?

HA! No no I meant Tanner and Ty with Connor being the half, since he's not really old enough to fully participate.

It was a crazy but fun weekend guys. Thanks for sharing it with us and for all your help Tonya. I wouldn't have made it without you.
Love you all!
