32 Weeks

We've made it to 32 weeks and still feeling pretty great. I've been getting some heartburn and such in the evenings and have to sleep propped up most nights, and trying to sit through a movie or 3 hours of church is nearly impossible because I get so uncomfortable. Other than those normalcies, I can't complain.

I know I've said it before, but this boy is super ACTIVE! He's gotten big enough now that I can feel him in my stomach. He'll jab an elbow or a knee or some body part into me, and I can actually touch and feel HIM inside me. It's so cool. He's very responsive, so if we push on my tummy or poke whatever body part is sticking into me, he'll give us a JAB just to let us know that he's gonna do what he wants! I feel even more in touch and closer to this boy now that I can feel his body, feel his responses, feel how he reacts to things (like when I eat spicy food-he goes crazy!) and things like that. I love bonding with him. And now that he is pretty much always moving, hiccuping, responding, etc Adam can finally feel his movements. Up until now, his movements were so sporadic that every time Adam would try and feel him, he'd stop and not budge until Adam moved his hand. But now he just keeps on moving and I'm so glad that Adam can feel more part of it.

Doc says 5 more weeks of cookin' and then he can come any time! I hope baby heard that cuz I'd love him to come early! Our lease is up in a few weeks in the apartment we're in right now. The company Adam works for has been paying for our apartment during his internship, but as his internship is over in a couple weeks, it's time for us to move out! We're actually really excited because although it's been really fun to live a block from the beach, we're ready to have more space (especially with the baby coming) and to live in a quieter, more peaceful, less L.A. place. We found an apartment in Fountain Valley, about 40 minutes south of where we are now, right by Huntington Beach in northern Orange County, and we are so happy with it. It's a beautiful complex right next to a huge park in a nice peaceful neighborhood with lots of families, and the apartment actually has a washer/dryer! Seriously a miracle find! We're looking forward to our move July 23rd, and are just hoping that baby will give us at least a week to set everything up before he comes. Any time after that though--come on BABY!!

My family says I've "popped" but I actually feel pretty small now. Doc says my belly is measuring 31 weeks. Not too shabby, I'll take it.

Hiccups in Ma Belly

Baby gets the hiccups about 10 times a day. Is this normal? The rhythmic bump..bump..bump..bump is driving me nuts-o!! I love his random movements and kicks and belly distortions, but the constant rhythm of the hiccups is making me crazy! Sometimes I find myself holding my breath, thinking maybe it'll cure HIS hiccups. It doesn't work. Go figure.

May Update

I slash we had a fun month of May. The second weekend of the month, I had to leave Adam for a couple weeks. Sad. But it was for a good cause. My mom, dad, Tyler and Tanner went to Virginia to tour Tyler's mission, so I went down to San Diego to be with Justin for the weekend. He had a busy weekend with the SAT, Prom, and his show choir's end of the year POPS concert. I didn't want him to have nobody around to take pcitures, clap loudly, etc, so I went down for the weekend. After the weekend, he and I flew to D.C. and met up with Ryan, Rachel and 2 of our awesome nephews. It was a long day of travel after only 4 hours of sleep. We had 2 plane rides, then a car ride from D.C. down to Williamsburg to meet up with Mom, Dad, Tyler and Tanner. Needless to say, at 7 months pregnant, I was EXHAUSTED and pretty much remained exhausted the entire following week.

This pic speaks for itself.

During the next week, we toured Williamsburg, Charlottesville (where Monticello-Jefferson's home is), and headed back up to Alexandria where Ryan and Rachel lived. Virginia is SO gorgeous!!!!! We saw all the usual sites in Alexandria and D.C. and MOST importantly...the whole reason we were there...we went to Ryan's med school graduation from George Washington University. It was so exciting and we are SO proud of Doctor McBeth! Then we helped them pack the moving truck and get ready to move to Rochester, NY where they will be for the next 3-4 years for Ryan's Emergency Medicine Residency. What a handsome ER doc he will make! Of course I couldn't help much with the packing/lifting/cleaning so I got to watch the boys while everybody else worked! It was awesome! Liam (2) and Gavin (3 months?) are just the absolute cutest kids and I had SO much fun playing with them!

Listen closely!

Yep, "Doctor Ryan Kent McBeth"!

It was a great trip and I'm so glad I got to go, but I was SO happy to get home the following Tuesday. I missed Adam like crazy and really needed a good night's rest in MY bed! We spent the next weekend here in the Del Rey, going on walks and going to see Thor and Pirates. Then last weekend (Memorial Day weekend) we went down to San Diego again. Ryan and Rachel came down for several days to hang out before residency starts and they lose their lives again, so Brandon, Melanie, Ty and me and Adam went down too. It was the first time since...I don't even know when that the WHOLE family was together! We weren't missing anyone! It was so exciting...and a little wild! We spent hours in the pool, played games, ate lots of good barbeque food, went to Disneyland, and took family pictures (which really depressed me I have to say...unfortunately those pictures will be on my parent's wall for months or years to come!)

WHEW! What a month, eh? But all good and so fun. I wish I had more pictures to post, but they're all on my mom's camera because I got sick of taking pictures that I knew she would have anyway! So there's the update...you can visualize all the happs in your head!
