Memorial Day Weekend

We had a pretty fun Memorial Day weekend this year, which actually started on Wednesday night. Adam texted me from work Wednesday morning and said "I'm taking you on a date tonight, dress warm". Hmm..intrigue...Adam usually isn't the romatic surprise kinda guy, so this was pretty exciting. I had all kinds of things running through my mind..La Jolla Cove, Coronado Island, all kinds of romantic (but highly inexpensive) date ideas. Well I picked Adam up from work with the change of clothes he requested and it was when we got to downtown SD and were going in the same direction as all the other traffic that I figured it out--PADRES!! My dad gets these sweet seats from work every once in a while that include parking right in front of the stadium, buffet style gourmet dinner followed by buffet style dessert (complete with candy buffet), front row seats behind home plate, and all-you-can eat served-right-to-your-seat menu with all the typical baseball game foods. Best date ever! I had just been telling my dad the day before that I really wanted to go and if he happened to get tickets he wasn't gonna use, then he should send them our way--Little did I know that Adam had already procured some for us the next day--AWESOME!

Friday we went to dinner with the fam and came home and watched Harry Potter 6 which none of us had seen in a while. Saturday we had a big family swim party here at the parent's house with all the SD aunts, uncles, cousins, and even my grandparents who were here for the week. Sunday Justin and I sang in church, which is always nerve-wracking but fun. And finally Monday Adam and I went to La Jolla Cove, which is a pretty meaningful spot for us, since it's where Adam proposed, and where we took our engagement photos and wedding photos. We always like to make at least one trip to La Jolla Cove when we're here. The rest of the day we swam and went to see Prince of Persia-which we really liked! Good flick!

Here's some pictures from the weekend:
