We spend a fair amount of time with our friends' little girl, Adelyn. In fact we're babysitting her right now (don't worry Abbie, we are watching your child) and not only is she incredibly adorable, but she has (with the help of Lexi Tollestrup) won over Adam heart and soul to the idea of having a little girl. That in itself is a miracle as most of you know. Every time we see her she makes me more and more baby hungry, and I was already at dangerous levels of child starvation!! So watch out Ryan and Rachel, because if you're not careful, I might just eat little Liam!!

One Reason I Love Idaho

This may very well be one of the VERY few reasons I like Idaho, but I think it's a good one: people are nice! As Adam and I sat down to dinner this evening we heard this loud noise outside in the front, so Adam went to check it out. Our neighbor who we've never really met had borrowed a snow-blower from work since we've gotten like a foot of snow in the last couple days. Well he decided that since he had it for the night, he'd clear all the neighbor's driveways! Yeah you'd never get that in California (I mean besides the fact that we don't get snow in California). Awesome!

Back to the Grind

Well here we are back in Rexburg with a new semester underway. It's January, so naturally we are already really excited for Winter to be over and Summer to arrive (in June, if we're lucky)! Camping, boating, shooting, fishing, floating the river, laying out and reading (Tonya, not Adam), etc etc. Ohh sweet summer...
We are beyond excitement about our first nephew coming any day now, and can't wait to see the little tyke!!
Duke broke 2 joints in his paw a couple weeks ago and is loving his cast and cone-NOT! We're not enjoying it either as his pain and discomfort has been accompanied by frequent whining and refusing to sleep anywhere but in OUR bed!
Maanwhile, here are some pictures from our Christmas vacation:

We went fishing in Cal. and didn't catch a thing! So disappointing!

Ah Christmas

I just wanted to share with everyone my sincere and ecstatic JOY of being done with yet another semester. It's been fulfilling, stressful, painful (the tension headaches that is), and inspiring. I am more excited than ever to get into my own classroom full of 5-year-olds and "learn them kids to read"!

Meanwhile, it's 2 weeks before Christmas...one week before we pack up and head to California for a week or 2...and a whole 3 weeks before we start another semester. We've really had only 1 snow storm thus far here in Rexburg, we woke up Monday morning to a beautiful blanket of new white snow a few inches deep. It's half melted now, but should snow again tonight or tomorrow. At this point it thrills me, because I don't have to drive to school with all the crazy California, Arizona, Florida (and yes even Idaho and Utah) drivers. A white pre-christmas with a California Christmas-Christmas. Gotta love it. Well that's my ray of sunshine for today (can you tell it's Friday, I'm off work in 10 minutes, and FINALS ARE OVER?!!)

Oh yes, Duke was neutered on Wednesday. We had hoped he would come home with a cone on his head-I even had the camera ready when I heard the garage door open. But, no cone, just a sad, tired little puppy who will never know the joys of manhood.

Happy Holidays everyone, enjoy the Christmas Spirit while it lasts!!

Baby Photos

I found this site that lets us upload photos of Adam and I and the site creates our babies. I thought I'd share them with you all. Presenting Baby Todd 1, 2, and 3 (with probably more to come because we are now obsessed with this site!)

Something I love

Don't you love it when you're driving down the street, a song comes on the radio, and just as some pedestrian is crossing in front of your car suddenly you realize...they're walking to the beat of the song you're listening to! In that very moment, your life is a music video, and this stranger is a part of it (without knowing, which somehow makes it even better)!
Ah the simple things that make us smile...
