Utah Road trip

The last week of June Connor and I went on a road trip to Utah with my mom and 2 youngest brothers. It's been a little while since I'd been to Utah to see all of my extended family there, and I have kind of missed the road trips we took twice a year to and from Utah growing up! So Adam was wonderful and let Connor and I go for a whole week. He missed us like crazy, and visa versa, but we had such a fun time. Connor was an absolute ANGEL the whole drive up, never made a peep besides to laugh or babble. On the way home he was a little fussier come Barstow, but hey who could blame him??

We got to see both sets of my grandparents, my best friend Lauren and her little guy and little bump, and we even got to be there for my cousin's baby shower which I never would have gotten to go to otherwise because she lives so far away! We went to the Spanish Fork Reservoir and Seven Peaks Water Park to try and beat the heat (in the 90's all week and so dry!!!) We hit some great craft stores which gave me some great ideas to add to my DIY list.

All in all it was a great trip and I am so glad we went! The only downside is that somewhere along the line, I think at the water park, Connor contracted the Hand Foot and Mouth Virus. He woke up with a fever the day after we got home, and the following day the tell-tale red bumps appeared. He took it like a champ although he didn't eat for over 24 hours and I had to give him liquids through a syringe for a day or two so he wouldn't have to go to the hospital for an IV. He was a little lethargic all week and definitely just wanted to wallow around in Mom's lap a lot, but besides that he didn't fuss too much, but I'll tell you by the end of the week I had a serious case of cabin fever! HFMD is a super contagious virus so we couldn't leave the house until the spots were gone. Thankfully he's all better now and I din't think he passed it on so hurray for that!
