Some Latest Happs

A photo log of the last month or so:

Connor moved up in the world from his infant car seat to his big boy carseat or "the Escalade" as we call it. He loves it

Connor has been getting into EVERYTHING lately! He is a very busy boy

We went to Adam's favorite BBQ place, Famous Dave's, for his Father's Day dinner out the Saturday before Father's Day

We've been swimming in our community pool

We went to a couple baseball games (Padres and Angels, and Padres again this weekend)

Connor wants to stand everywhere on everything! He is so impressed with himself, it's his new favorite pass time and play time! He even walks along the furniture and transfers from ottoman to couch and our knees to the ottoman, etc. At first, he could get up but couldn't get down. This caused a problem that was really more ours than his, since every time he wanted down he'd cry and cry until we helped him down to the floor. At nap time he'd stand up in his crib and cry and cry once he got tired and wanted to fall asleep. So we'd have to go in his room and lay him back down so he could sleep! Thankfully this is now over and he safely and gracefully might I add lowers himself to his tush and goes about his business.

He loves this bear and laughs whenever I put it in front of my face and talk to him in a deep voice like I'm the bear. Embarrassing, I know, but it's some of my best material! And he really REALLY loves his sippy of apple juice. This boy is a little drinker but we are so glad!

He likes to stand at the kitchen window and look outside, especially when it's time for daddy to come home and he sees him coming down the path toward home!

My parents came for a quick visit a couple weeks ago when my mom was taking my dad to the airport and Connor was on a real kick that morning making his piggy face. It's the same face I made when I was a kid so it's so funny that he does it now too. He scrunches up his nose and puckers his lips and breathes loudly in and out. It's horrifically unattractive, but pretty darn funny. My dad was trying to get him to do it for a picture and instead of catching Connor doing it, I caught my dad!

Sometimes Connor whines when he's not getting his way and this is what it looks like. Appealing, eh?

We go to the beach with other mommies and their kiddos. Connor loves the sand, the water, the toys, and the good company!

As I've said before, Connor is an army crawler and it's no different in the sand. He pulls himself along on his forearms and pushes with his toes. But when he does it at the beach, and lays his head down to rest, he found that he gets a huge mouth full (and nose full, and eyes full)of sand.

He runs himself ragged and we always know when he's ready for a nap or bedtime because we find him like this:

He's become a bit of a crazy sleeper, rolling around and crawling around in his sleep. He sleeps on his tummy, his back, his side, his knees...you name it. But almost every position is accompanied by crossed ankles. We love that about him!

The end.
