It's that time again

It's been a while, so I thought it was about time for our bi-monthly update. Our life at this stage is really not THAT exciting so we're not that great about blogging about it, sorry! BUT here is the latest and greatest scintillating update on the life of the Todds. We are now living in San Diego with my family while Adam is doing one of his 2 internships. He is enjoying the "grunt work" about as much as any intern can, learning a lot, and applying what he has learned already in school. There are brief moments of "is this really what I've decided to do for the rest of my life?" but then he quickly snaps out of it and remembers that he really does enjoy it. On top of the 9-5, he's also taking a beginning Spanish class online...busy man!

I am happy to be graduated, but almost wishing I was back in school so I could have something to do! (Anybody have any tips on ways to work from home that are really legit??) I had hoped to substitute teach for the remainder of the school year before my summer camp starts, but there is a California teaching certification test I would have to take that isn't offered until June-what a ripoff!

So, in the meantime, I have been helping in Tanner's Kindergarten class and working on planning a series of summer camps for kids that I will be doing right here on my parents' property. They really have an ideal setup here for a summer camp, and I am so excited to be working with kids again! The camps start June 21st with the 4-6 age group, then the next week is the 7-9 group, and then the 10-12 group, and then they'll repeat until mid-August. So here's my little plug: If you have kids ages 4-12 and know you'll need a breather during the long summer break, respond to this post and I'll send you an email with the flier!

Adam has begun his search for his next internship, hoping to be hired on for Fall semester. He's applying, again, all over the country-and outside the country-for an internship with a General Contractor. This is the kind he wants to work for after he graduates, so he's hoping for some experience with a GC. Again, if you have any suggestions-let us know! We would LOVE to live someplace new and we'll basically go anywhere for that 3 months! Our brightest shining hope, although it's far fetched, is Skansk'a branch in London, England. We both have a serious obsession with that part of the world and would love the chance at such an adventure while we have no roots!

Since we've been in SD we've celebrated our 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY, my 23rd birthday, Adam's 25th birthday, gone to Wild Animal Park, and the CELTIC WOMAN CONCERT. Which activity was my favorite? Hmmm.....I'm gonna have to say that for both of us it was definitely the CONCERT! We were so jazzed to finally see "our ladies" in person! GREAT show!

Well I've babbled on enough, here's a few pictures:

You sound busy! Or at least you will be! I wish I was in SD just to watch you teach your camps! Love ya!

I have to say that I think you're pretty cool. That summer camp idea is really neat, and I think you'll be great at it. I wish we had some kind of construction connection out here so you guys could live here in the fall! Maybe I'll stick something in our ward newsletter to see if there are any people in the ward that do. Never underestimate the power of the Mormon Mafia.
